Petal should be anywhere between 4-5 years, and Scorch should be around that age as well.
Petal- Petal is a purebred female husky that was bought by a puppy mill. The mill would proceed to neglect Petal until she was needed, only giving her what she needed to stay alive. By early winter of the same year, Petal was introduced to a wolf by the name of Scorch, who would end up becoming her mate. Right before winter had ended, Petal was pregnant with her first and only litter of wolf-dog puppy’s, and by early spring Akela and their siblings were born. Petal was a loving mother, but once her mate had been taken from her it became clear just how sorrow filled she was about that. After Akela escaped the puppy mill, Petal would soon follow within a few months after, with her two other pups Holly and Honeybee. Currently, she lives in the human town.
Scorch- Scorch is a pure gray wolf that was captured by a exotic animals dealer. He would then proceed to be sold to a puppy mill, where, in a similar manner to Petal was neglected and was only given what he needed to survive. He was kept in a pen with two other gray wolf males, just a room away where the dogs were kept. By early winter he had met Petal after being introduced by their handlers, and had instantly taken a liking to the sweet husky. After courting her for a week, Petal had fallen for his charm and agreed to become his mate, and by the end of winter Petal was pregnant with their litter. By early spring, Scorch was able to meet his three pups before he was taken away from his mate, as the handlers had intentions to breed him with another dog. He didn’t even get to name his three pups, and when the humans had dragged him out of the the room that Petal was in, Scorch took a chance to escape through a door they had left open. After biting the handler, he ran through the door and ended up in the woods. He found the Limberlost pack and settled down there, but doesn’t know Akela is his child.
Holly- Holly is a mix between a purebred husky and a pure gray wolf. Born alongside Akela and Honeybee, Holly was the first born out of the litter. Growing up with Akela and Honeybee, Holly was always the one to be more headstrong out of the three and would constantly get into fights over the littlest things. However, she was always close to her mother as Holly was the spitting image of her father, causing Petal to be more protective of her daughter. Holly never really realized she was the one Petal was the most protective of or the one which favoritism was showed towards, and even though the three siblings thought Petal was a amazing mom, Holly always had the best opinion. Holly currently lives with her mother in the human town, as even with her head strong nature Petal made sure her daughter acted well enough so her humans would keep Holly. She leads a relaxing life with her mother, but is also aware of the sorrow her mother is put through when she thinks of Scorch.
Honeybee- Out of the three siblings, Honeybee and Akela were always the closet. Honeybee looks the most like his mother in the wolf-dog mix, and was the runt of the litter so he’s smaller than his siblings. Honeybee was the last born, out of the three. Honeybee was the one to give Akela the nickname Aki, and that’s what they would be known as for the little under the year they knew each other. When Akela left, Honeybee was left to fend for himself through the last bit of the year before his mother whisked the last two siblings from the puppy mill. When they arrived at the human town, however, Honeybee was dead set on finding his missing sibling, and so instead of going to live with his mother and sister he set out to find Akela. Now, he lives as a loner and fends for himself, but is completely assured that when he sees Aki he’ll know it’s her, and the two can pick up from where they left off. |
