Welcome to the court [PRIVATE]

Saadia roused herself, shaking her head. She had thought she saw something or someone in the distance, but now whatever it was had vanished. She chalked it up to it still being early and her just seeing things and turned to lope over to Ghost. For a canine that wasn’t much taller than she was, they sure were fast with their long gait. It felt like the moment she caught up they stopped abruptly, a new form materializing in the distance: an elk.

She was aware that elk could be dangerous, but it wasn’t unheard of for them to be taken down by a single canine. Just not as easy. Immediately after Ghost stopped speaking, she crouched and began to circle the creature. It seemed a bit odd that this one wasn’t with a herd, but it was a bull elk so perhaps he simply hadn’t found a herd of his own yet. Saadia pushed the oddity from her mind; it wasn’t important so long as she could bring this thing down.

Slinking along so that she was at the side of the elk, she then burst from the undergrowth. The elk didn’t have time to turn and she latched on to one of his front legs. She had done this specifically to try to wear down the bull without the possibility of being kicked in the face by his back hooves. Startled, the bull called out and wrenched his leg from her grasp, the wound bleeding as he took off. Instantly she sprung after him, keeping her distance from his back legs until she was able to leap in and grab one.

The bull faltered, almost tripping. He yanked his leg but Saadia held on tight, teeth digging in deep. By the time she let go the wound was deep enough to give the bull a limp, giving her ample time to torment the creature by leaving bites on his other legs. It didn’t take very long for her to get bored of these antics, though, and she aimed for the bull’s throat to finish the battle.
