I hope you're all enjoying the new skin. I think it's easier for people to see everything, as with the other one even the chatbox was hidden. As much as I liked that skin, it just didn't seem to do well. So now we've got this one! But there's one small problem...[break][break]
The monetary shop doesn't work with this skin. At all. I've already tried (even though it said it didn't in the description, you know I had to try anyway) and it just doesn't show up. So I need to ask for opinions:[break][break]
Do we get rid of the shop entirely?[break][break]
Or do we do it manually, like deviantART roleplays do it?[break][break]
If we do it like deviantART, you'd all be responsible for keeping track of your own currency, but it would also mean that we could add some other things, like giving points/prey/whatever we call the currency for doing art or one-off writings for your characters. If you've never seen how deviantART RPs deal with their currencies, you can check out this link.[break][break]
I was considering calling the currency (if we keep the whole shop thing at all) reputation. Thoughts?

Culture coming to a pack near you!

I thought it might be an interesting idea to have little bits of culture within the packs! Currently we're working on how things work for before/when pups are born. Right now we only have Limberlost done, but here's what we have so far![break][break]
We'd love to hear everyone's thoughts concerning both the shop situation and the culture for the packs![break][break]
Also the new pack Gathering will be in three days on November 19! We still don't really have any pack announcements so I guess it'll once again be one big RP thread! Hopefully soon we'll have more members and whelps, dames, and pups will become a thing. :)
I thought it might be an interesting idea to have little bits of culture within the packs! Currently we're working on how things work for before/when pups are born. Right now we only have Limberlost done, but here's what we have so far![break][break]
- a nest is created and decorated with swmap rabbit pelts, and protection symbols are painted on the pelts with mashed up berries in bright colors. Dark colors are avoided because it’s thought to attract bad spirits.
- dames must avoid contact with spirits altogether while pregnant to avoid bad spirits from possessing their unborn pups.
- dames usually stop their duties within the pack during the last 1-3 weeks of pregnancy.
- fall and winter births are frowned upon and seen as an ill omen.
- the pack howls to the ancestors while the pups are being birthed to bring good spirits near. After they're born their names will be howled to the Ancestors so that they may accept them.
- the only canines allowed in the nursery at the time of birthing are the healer(s) and the parents of the pups. Everyone else has to wait outside, as the nursery is only so big.
- it is clear an evil spirit has possessed a pup if fang marks are found on their neck. The pup will have to be exorcised, and they may not survive it.
- all pups are welcomed into the pack at birth, and the only reason one would be killed is if they had an incurable illness that would cause them to suffer unnecessarily.
- pups born under the full moon are thought to have a good future as healers.
